I walked trough the bridge

August 26, 2016

Harbour Bridge is the world’s largest steel arch bridge. It cannot be missed while you’re in the city. Probably the most photographed landmark in Australia after the Opera House, but those two are very often shoot together as they are located very close to each other.

That day I took an early morning train across the Harbour Bridge to Kirribilli. It’s a suburb located just on the other side of the harbour from the Sydney centre. On the way back I walked trough the bridge and… on the other side I had a double espresso from Mecca Coffee 😉

Enjoy!

A night to remember

June 28, 2016

What do you think if someone says that world is polluted? Air pollution, water pollution, food pollution… but there is also a light pollution.
The study reveals that 60% of Europeans and 80% of North Americans cannot see galaxy on the night sky. The Milky Way is no longer visible to more than one third of the world’s population.

Luckily I live very close to the Izera Mountains located on the Czech-Polish borderland, where in 2009 the Izera Dark-Sky Park was established (www.izera-darksky.eu).

I started my walk at 11pm and finished around 6am. It was a very calm, warm and clear night… unfortunately the moon rose above the horizon around 1:30am, so it wasn’t very dark anymore. Also the summer nights in Poland are not the best to shoot Milky Way because it’s core and big part is hidden below the horizon. I will be back there in the winter again 🙂

That day was the perfect example how quickly the weather can change in the mountains. It kept changing all day – from sunny and calm to a very windy and completely cloudy. Sometimes the visibility dropped below 20-30 meters… Anyway it was a good day in the Karkonosze mountains! 🙂

Sunrise at 1602 meters

April 21, 2016

The weather forecast was very promising – clear sky, no wind, sunny for the whole day. I couldn’t resist spending that day in the mountains or… even better – standing at the highest summit of Karkonosze Mountains watching the sun rising. So I did it 🙂
