When I lived in Sydney, the Blue Mountains National Park used to my number one “get-away” destination.
It offers absolutely fantastic scenery and excellent hiking trails. Hiking in the Blue Mountains usually means going down the gorges – some of the gorges are as deep as 760 metres! It is like going back in time to the Jurassic era…
That walk I stared in Katoomba (the main town in the area, approx. 2hrs by train from Sydney) and then I hiked to the bottom of the mountains.
Going deeper…
…and deeper 🙂
It is a truly different world, but now is time to head back to Sydney…
